At ERIK Arkitekter, community is in focus
ERIK Arkitekter's two divisions, East and West, are divided in five departments across Denmark. They work to create architectural solutions that focus on human communities and sustainability. ERIK Arkitekter sees architecture as a driving force for positive change and always seeks to develop and revitalise buildings to support the needs and communities of today.
Internally at ERIK Arkitekter, the mission is expressed through targeted efforts that should strengthen the community and collaboration between the regions and the five departments.
The challenge - limited overview
ERIK Arkitekter has a large portfolio of projects that is driven by many skilled and specialised employees. Until recently, the East and West divisions each had their own procedure for the management and creation of CVs and references.
The challenge by this was that the acquisition manager might only have access to the CVs and competences that were available for the individual division. This means the the acquisition manager in each division did not automatically have access to the full range of competences across the organisation. This has sometimes complicated the ability to provide the most optimal CVs and references to a given pre-qualification or bid.
The solution - a common approach and better collaboration
With Orbit, ERIK Arkitekter has now established a common platform for CV- and reference management that enables the standardisation and sharing of employees' experience and competences across the organisation. This ensures that ERIK Arkitekter's acquisition manager can create and update CVs and references in a consistent and uniform way, and that these are always easily available to all - regardless of department or geographical location.
Sometimes, a standard solution can contribute to bring together two different processes so the organisation is better able to pull in the same direction.

The result - strengthened competitiveness
The shared library of CVs and references provides ERIK Arkitekter with a solid basis for presenting the strongest team and the best references for each project.
